All electrical components are intrinsically safe — zero ignition risk
ATEXvacuum cleaners are required by law in UAE environments where flammable or explosive materials are present, including petrol stations, oil and gas facilities, chemical processing plants, paint shops, flour mills, pharmaceutical facilities and battery rooms. Using a standard vacuum in these areas creates a serious explosion risk.
What is the difference between Zone 1 and Zone 2 ATEX vacuum?
Zone 1 areas have a frequent presence of explosive atmosphere. Zone 2 areas have an occasional presence. Zone 1 vacuums have more stringent safety requirements and can also be used in Zone 2 areas. Aura-Max can advise the correct certification for your specific site.
Do ATEX vacuums require earthing?
Yes. ATEX vacuum cleaners must be connected to an earth point during operation to safely dissipate static charge. An earthing cable is included with all ATEX vacuum cleaners supplied by Aura-Max.
